Cotswolds MP accuses Government of Playing Politics with Disabled Students

The National Learning and Skills Council has today announced the 13 Further Education Colleges that have received funding as part of their Further Education Capital Programme – and the National Star College has not been included - a move that Cotswolds MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown has condemned as shocking.

This weekend on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway – ‘The Honeybourne Line’ – celebrates a rather special lady’s 60th birthday.

The ‘lady’ is engine no. 7903, named Foremarke Hall.  And to help her celebrate, there’s a free ride on the 10-mile line on 4th and 5th July for anyone who was born in 1949!

Ebrington exhibits again at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show

Ebrington and District Gardening Club are very proud to have again been accepted to exhibit at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show from Tuesday 7th July to Sunday 12th July 2009.

In 2007 the club exhibited in the "Window Box and Hanging Basket" Competition and won a Bronze Medal with "Feathered Food Fantasy"

University wins bid to develop community engagement

The University of Gloucestershire has secured £218,000 in funding to develop opportunities for students to gain experience of working within communities.

The project will evaluate models of community engagement currently undertaken by the University and develop ways to maximise the benefits for students and communities.
