Local MP Praises Cirencester Foodbank

Mr Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP visited Cirencester foodbank last Saturday where he met with the Chairman, Mandy Fry and her wonderful team.

The Cirencester foodbank is set up to help those in need, people are referred to the centre with a food voucher, where they will be given food supplies, a hot drink and help in finding professionals who can give further advice or help.

Geoffrey Clifton-Brown MP has welcomed new statistics that show a record number of people in The Cotswolds started apprenticeship in 2011/12. The data also has provisional results for the number of apprenticeship starts in the first quarter of 2012/13 - in August to October 2012 230 people started apprenticeships in just three months.
