Steve Edwards goes to Luton for his last marathon of 2009 and a total of 493!!

On Sunday 6th December 2009 Steve Edwards went down to Luton to run his 34th Marathon and last in 2009 and his 493rd Marathon overall!!
He has now run 430 of his World Record attempt to run 500 Marathons by 2012, all in under 3 minutes 30 seconds. Well done Steve.

Steve was again running for Bourton Roadrunners with race number 277.

Steve went up North on Sunday 22nd November 2009 to run in the  Newcastle Town Moor Marathon.

Steve Edwards goes to Ireland to run his first marathon under his new world record targets

On Sunday 30th August 2009 Steve Edwards continued his world record challenge by going to Ireland to compete in the Longford Marathon.
Longford is situated in the Irish Midlands and County Longford lies in the Shannon Basin and the upper catchment area of the River Erne.

Steve Edwards rewrites his 2012 World Record challenge

In 1988, Steve Edwards, from Moreton in Marsh, had a dream and embarked on a lifetime challenge to run 500 marathons in an average finish time of less than 3hrs 20min (200 minutes) and thus claim the record 'fastest 500 marathons run by an individual'.

Steve Edwards goes across the water for Marathon 481 and defends his V45 title

Steve Edwards from Moreton-in-the-Marsh completed Marathon Number 481 on Sunday 9th August 2009 by going across the water to compete in the SalClear Isle of Man Marathon.
This Marathon is organised by the IOM Veteran Athletes Club and is run on the Manx Northern Course starting and finishing in Ramsey.

Multi sports for children with disabilities given a boost in north Cotswolds

Multi-sports opportunities for children and young people with disabilities in the Cotswolds has been given a boost, thanks to a £1100 inclusion grant.

The 4us2 club, set up by Cotswold District Council to encourage young people with disabilities to take part in sport, received the money thanks to a grant from Gloucestershire County Council this spring.

Free multi-sport sessions will start at the Cotswold School in Bourton-on-the-Water on January 28th, where children aged seven and up can come along and take part in several different sports
