Cotswolds MPs Presents Award to Winner of his Christmas Card Design

Cotswolds MP Geoffrey Clifton-Brown has today visited Blue Coat Primary School in Wotton-under-Edge to present a gift voucher during the school’s assembly to Ralph Hull, aged 7, for designing the MP’s Christmas Card.

Staff at the Honeybourne Line are really getting into the Christmas spirit as they prepare to welcome a very special VIP guest.

Antique Toys for Christmas at Chorleys December Sale

Chorley’s sale on Thursday 10th December will have a Christmas feel to it as the saleroom cabinets and shelves will be full of toys, games and trains.
Co-incidentally, eight clients instructed us to sell their cherished possessions within three weeks of each other, all in time to give the sale a 1940s

Cotswolds Artist's Christmas Art Exhibition at Lower Oddington

Quality Items were in the frame at The Autumn Antiques and Fine Art Fair at Cheltenham

Was Cheltenham a barometer of the antiques trade today?  Well clocks were certainly in demand and although a mixed result overall, there were a number of really good sales, at The Autumn Antiques and Fine Art Fair held in association with LAPADA at The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse in Gloucestershire  on 27th-30th November 2008, including a £35,000 Lowry drawing from Neptune Fine Art to a new client from Derby.

Free Cotswold parking gesture gives stores a festive boost

Shoppers are being given free use of all Cotswold District Council-owned car parks on every Saturday in December in a festive gesture aimed at boosting the local economy.

Santa steams in to Toddington on the GWR

Saturday 6th December - Wednesday 24th December 2008 at Toddington Railway Station.
Santa paid an unexpected visit to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway this week to check on bookings for his “Santa Specials 2008” trains starting on Saturday 6th December. To his delight he found that some trains are already sold out and bookings are well up on previous years.

Some Winter Cheer from Simon Chorley Art and Antiques at Prinknash

Thursday 20th November 2008 - 10.30 am. The next auction at Simon Chorley Art and Antiques should bring some winter cheer to Prinknash with a varied selection of fine paintings, porcelain and works of art.
