Gary Hodges: Drawn to the soul at Nature in Art

Nature in Art Museum is pleased to announce its exhibition “Drawn to the Soul”, a 25 year retrospective of the art of Gary Hodges. This will be the first time over 40 original Hodges pencil drawings will have been assembled together, borrowed back from collectors.

Jacob Sutton's solo show - Farm Life - opens at The Dollar Street Gallery in September

Jacob Sutton’s solo show opens at The Dollar Street Gallery, 34-36 Dollar Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire from 7th September to 2nd October 2010.
This exhibition will feature a series of farm scenes from around six farms where Jacob Sutton has been painting for the last three years including Wick Court Farm at Arlingham in Gloucestershire.

A Gloucestershire Quilt Goes On Tour

An art work produced by quilters from the Five Valleys area of Gloucestershire is being exhibited in York at the Quilt Museum, Britain’s first museum dedicated to quilting and the textile arts.
Set to be one of the highlights of the exhibition, the Five Valley’s ‘Season’s’ quilt was produced by an unusual collaboration between eight local craftswomen.

An annual Tolkien-inspired Art Exhibition, held at The Redesdale Hall, Moreton-in-Marsh, Glos will, for the first time, feature an original Tolkien drawing from 1911.
 

Royal Society backing Bee Project

The University of Gloucestershire is joining forces with the Global Bee Project (GBP) and Stroud High School for the prestigious Royal Society’s 350th Anniversary Summer Science Exhibition.
From 2nd July they will be joining the exhibition as an invited exhibitor.

Making a Splash - Alan Brassington at The Dollar Street Gallery, Cirencester

Making a Splash is a show of around 40 small watercolours and drawings of the Cirencester Open Air Swimming Pool by Alan Brassington at The Dollar Street Gallery, 34-36 Dollar Street, Cirencester, Gloucestershire from 22nd May and continuing throughout the summer.  Prices start from £150.  A small run of illustrated posters signed by the artist is also available.
