A last minute addition to a Corinium Museum Half Term holiday event will see famous fossil expert Dr Neville Hollingworth pay the Cirencester museum a visit on Friday October 30th.

Cirencester's Corinium Museum will host a trio of exciting activities for children and their families during October half-term.


Starting on Monday October 26th, children aged between 7-12 years can come to explore characters from Roman Mythology.

Partnership between Museum and adult learning body is given £5,000 boost

A joint project between the Corinium Museum and the University of the Third Age has been given a financial boost thanks to a £5,000 grant.

The Cirencester museum, owned by Cotswold District Council, had applied to the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council for financial help to enable them to work with the four Cotswold branches of the U3A on an adult learning programme.

Cotswold Museum hosts animal safari to support National Childminding Week

Children will be taken on a special safari tour this week at the Corinium Museum as part of a national event to support children and their minders.

The children and their carers will be donning safari style pith helmets and binoculars for an ‘animal safari' event around the Cirencester museum on Thursday June 18th, as part of National Childminding Week from June 13th - 20th.
