Local Tewkesbury salon picked as one of the best new salons in the UK (2009/2010)

G&T Hair owned by experienced Hair Consultant Glen Dufty has been selected by Aston & Fincher, a leading salon designer, as one of the best new salons in the UK for 2009/2010. The honour has earned G&T Hair a double spread in the National award winning publication "Real Salons".

RNLI inland lifeboat day, Croft Farm Water Park, 24th May

The Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Newent branches of the RNLI are holding an inland lifeboat day at Croft Farm Water Park, Bredon's Hardwick near Tewkesbury on Sunday 24th May 2009.

Cotswolds MP Supports Gloucestershire’s Fair Trade Towns

All the celebrities, including the Bishop of Tewkesbury Rt Revd John Went, attended Christian Aid’s fundraising lunch to celebrate Wotton-under-Edge’s new status as a fair trade town. Christian Aid hosted a well attended and happy lunch to raise money for, and to celebrate the fact that Wotton-under-Edge is now one of the eight (shortly to become nine with Bourton-on-the-Water) designated fair trade towns in Gloucestershire.

Princess Royal to visit Tewkesbury on Friday 18th January

The Princess Royal plans to make a quick 1 hour working visit to Tewkesbury to show support for residents who are being affected by the floods.

The Princess will arrive at the Canterbury Inn, Ashchurch Road in Newtown, Tewkesbury, on Friday 18th January where the Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, Mr Henry Elwes will present: the Councillor for Newton, Graham Dawson; Town Clerk, Major Michael Wilson; Chairman of Tewkesbury Chamber of Commerce, Mr Bruce Keen; Captain, 1st Tewkesbury Company Boys Brigade, Mr Andrew Baldwin.
