The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway (GWR) starts its main 2012 season

over the weekend of 10th and 11th March.

Because the 12-mile long railway, often known as the ‘Honeybourne Line', is
currently divided by a landslip just north of its Winchcombe station, trains
are operating over the separate sections - with a vintage bus link
connecting the two.

The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is about to start work on a £670,000 project to repair its collapsed embankment just north of Winchcombe station.

Snow stops Santa in his tracks on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway

Steam, Santa and snow seemed a perfect combination for the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway's  popular Santa Specials which run between Toddington and Winchcombe: that is, until the snow really set in and prevented staff from getting to the railway. 

On top of that, the freezing conditions started to prevent points and signals from working properly.

Gloucestershire Craft Brewers are at The Pheasant Inn, Toddington

The Pheasant Inn, Toddington (the unofficial Stanway brewery tap) is holding a mini beer festival next weekend featuring beers from the Gloucestershire Craft Brewers. The festival runs from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th October, with a preview evening on Thursday 21st to coincide with the North Cotswold CAMRA open committee meeting.

The 25th Steam and Vintage Festival comes to Toddington Railway Station

The 25th Steam & Vintage Festival will be held at adjacent to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway’s Toddington Station over the Weekend of 9th and 10th October 2010.  Gates Open at 10.00 am and a wide range of activities will be taking place on both days.
