neptune bleu turquoiseneptune bleu turquoiseSusan Megson Gallery and The Gallery @ The Guild - Chipping Campden invite you to an Exhibition of work by Sylvie Montagnon from Saturday June 20th to Friday July 31st.

Susan will be showcasing Sylvie's remarkable work on Saturday 20th June from 14.00 to 19.00 and on Sunday June 21st from 12.00 to 18.00

Sylvie's abstract style plays on the movement, lines and colours that successive firings have on her beautiful pieces of glass and crystal.

In the heart of the Rhone Alpes region of France, in the medieval city of Cremieu, Sylvie Montagnon brings to life her exquisite glass creations. After having spent 12 years working with the renown glass artist Jean Noël Bouillet, Sylvie developed her own unique style and technique. The creative world of Glass Artist Sylvie Montagnon, offers neverending and infinite combinations of stunning color, shape and movement… surpassing all frontiers.

Admirers are amazed at the fascinating possibilities of blending.lampe mayottelampe mayotte The color spectrums and inspirations of the moment guide Sylvie towards mysterious blues, rich golds and earth tones, or sulforous reds. After the exhaltation of the birth of a new collection, comes the technical prowess, and the structural process.

Thanks to her very specific and enriched artistic expertise, Sylvie creates her first pieces and progressively fine-tunes her gestures and paint dosages. The successive layers of pigments and color create her own personal lines and movements. The ballet of the brushes begins. The various firing periods fix the colors, crystalize forms, and help the shapes appear, as rainbows of light emminate far and beyond.

Decorative objects, vases, contemporary geometrical shapes and forms, lights… act as a medium sharing the emotions and poetic energy that Sylvie expresses.

The encounter with Sylvie’s work is magical. A multitude of theatrical contrasts of color, light and organic shapes… Each piece has a soul that calls out – a sense of mystery. Let your imagination soar. The interpretations are endless. Each object is a unique, hand-made and signed work of art.
