Tickets £6 and £3 students/concessions

Featuring some of the best and brightest artists on the contemporary jazz scene, the new season of The Xposed Club starts this week.

On Friday October 16 the event hosts the Pat Thomas and John Jasnoch Duo, the Peeter Uuskyla and Ove Volquartz Duo and Aimee Bea.

Jazz and improvisational giant Pat Thomas makes one of his occasional visits to the Xposed Club, this time to perform in his regular duo with improv star Jasnoch. The unusual combinations of melodica and stylophone wit Jasnoch’s ud and ukulele make for fascinating combination of sounds.

Swedish drummer Uuskyla is a master musician who has performed and recorded with some of the greats of free music, including Cecil Taylor and Bengt Frippe Nordstrom. Here he is joined by Volquartz from Gottingen German on bass clarinet.

They are joined by talented local songwriter Aimee Bea who combines her voice and ukulele to produce a captivating and memorable performance.

Tickets are available from the Pittville Studios campus or reserved from event organiser, Stuart Wilding swilding@glos.ac.uk, telephone 07817 963214.
