Business professionals in the county looking to boost their career prospects and develop new skills will be able to benefit from a number of new short courses being launched by the University of Gloucestershire.

Local businesses in the county have been working with the University’s Centre for Enterprise and Innovation (CEI) to develop eight new courses to match the training needs of their employees. One example is the development of half-day courses in environmental management, carbon management and environmental legislation as a response to the growth in sustainable business practise.

‘Managing People and Performance’ and ‘Working with Emotional Intelligence’ are some of the other day courses on offer which will be delivered by expert tutors.

Laura Crabb, Head of the University’s Centre for Enterprise & Innovation said: The University’s professional short course programme offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-level knowledge and skills to local organisations, delivering job-relevant learning whilst also meeting employees’ continuing professional development needs.”
“Our highly interactive courses are set to challenge, stimulate and inspire.  Utilising the extensive experience of University staff in the field of learning and development, these professional courses offer a wide range of opportunities to improve knowledge and sharpen skills.”
The courses will run from June onwards, throughout the Autumn. More information on the full range of courses can be found at www.glos.ac.uk/shortcourses
