New Courses in Environment and Sustainability

From reducing your carbon footprint to environmental legislation, there can be a lot to learn when it comes to making your business greener and more sustainable.
But help is at hand thanks to a new range of courses at the University of Gloucestershire utilising the latest tools and best practice to help you meet the demands of environmental management while saving costs in the process.
Taking place at the University’s Park campus, the short courses are designed in response to industry needs, with half-day sessions provided to fit around work.
There are courses on Environmental Management Systems (7 and 14 October), Environmental Legislation (17 November) and Carbon Management (24 November). Alex Steele, course leader, said: “More and more companies are tackling green issues as a matter of good commercial common sense. Whether it’s getting ISO14001 certification, demonstrating good practices to customers, improving efficiency, or ensuring compliance with environmental legislation, the bar keeps on getting higher and higher. I’m delighted to be leading this series of cutting-edge short courses, bringing the latest in green thinking, up-to-date knowledge, skills and tools, to businesses in the region.”
The University is also launching a range of professional and creative programmes for the new term.
