Park for free at this years’ Moreton Show

Great news for those planning to visit what is believed to be the UK’s largest one day agricultural show this year.  A new travel system is being implemented for this years’ Moreton Show to ensure that visitors can spend even more time at the action packed event.

Show organisers have devised a new road system so Show goers can avoid Moreton Town Centre, following some disruption last year when the town’s mini-roundabouts and railway bridge failed to cope with the increase in visitors to the Show.

A full map detailing several different routes towards the showground can be viewed now on the show’s website  And once close to the showground there will be plenty of road signs directing visitors to specific car parks.

Free car parking will allow show goers to park their car and then pay to enter the showground once on foot to help speed up the flow of traffic.

Moreton Show Vice Chairman Stuart Mace explains “Myself and Jo Trice-Rolph, Showground Manager, have spent many hours putting into place a new one-way traffic system to try to alleviate some of the problems experienced last year.  The new traffic system has a lot more entrances open and we have made parking free of charge to enable a quicker flow of traffic into the car parks on show day”.

“We’ve worked incredibly hard to allow visitors to get onto the showground more quickly and easily this year, so those who had problems last year should definitely not be put off!”

Moreton Show will be held on Saturday 4th September, and as from 1st September you will be able get all the updates for this year’s show by tuning into North Cotswold Community Radio on 87.7fm, Visitors can benefit from discounted ticket rates by purchasing their tickets in advance at
