Ebrington and District Gardening Club - Annual Flower and Vegetable Show

Saturday 9th August 2.30pm The Washbrook Barn, Ebrington, Gloucestershire.

Everything you’d expect from a village show – and more! This is the 28th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show and is held at The Washbrook Barn in Ebrington, by kind permission of The Drinkwater Family. A traditional show with something for everyone. There are 112 Classes covering Vegetables, Flowers, Fruit, Floral Art, Children’s Classes – under Five Years, Five to Eight Years and Nine to Twelve Years,- Cookery, Wine, Photography and Craft Work.

Ebrington and District Gardening Club LogoNew for this year is Class 93 – Cookery Class for Men – Roast Tomato Pie – this year’s challenge is for the best roast tomato pie cooked to the recipe provided in the show schedule and the class is open to men and boys only.
The prize is The Douglas Drinkwater Challenge Cup.

Exhibits are to be staged between 7.30am and 10.45am, the Show opens at 2.30pm and the Presentation of Prizes is at 4.00pm

Admission is £1.00. Afternoon teas and cakes.

Entry is to members only, except for the Children's Classes which are open to any child up to and including the age of 12 years and the Floral Art Classes which are also open to Ebrington WI members.

If you're not already a member of Ebrington and District Club, please consider joining. The Club is affiliated to the RHS and NVS and offers a varied programme of garden visits and talks on garden related topics as well as holding Spring and Summer Shows.
Annual Membership is only £5.00 per person which also entitles you to discounts on Dobies Seeds and at local garden centres.
