Roman’s hobbies revealed with Outreach events in the Cotswolds

Come and see how the Romans relaxed with several sessions being held around the Cotswolds by the Corinium Museum’s Outreach Service.

Six events being held around the District in August will explain what the Romans did in their spare time, and will talk about the sports they enjoyed, as well as their favourite games and entertainment.
You will also get the chance to play some of the Roman’s favourite games, while you can also have a go at making your own paper mosaic of your favourite sport, football team or hobby with the help of the Museum’s Outreach Officer Emma Stuart.

The events are being held at libraries across the Cotswolds in August, including Lechlade (August 11th), Tetbury (August 12th), Fairford (August 13th), Cirencester (August 18th), Moreton-in-Marsh (August 19th) and Bourton-on-the-Water (August 20th).

The sessions cost £3 per child, or £1.50 for annual Museum season ticket holders or Friends of the Corinium Museum.  It is suitable for children aged 5-11 and all children must be accompanied by an adult.  Booking is essential.
