AGA ladies’ point-to-point championship reaches its climax at Cheltenham

Wednesday May 2nd at Cheltenham – the home of jump racing – sees the thrilling climax to a season of AGA-sponsored ladies’ point-to-point racing with not one but two championship titles at stake…

A total of 137 horses have qualified to run in the 2012 final and, with this Blue Riband event offering total prize money of £7,500, we expect to attract a bumper entry and to see a strong field line-up. Entries closed at 12 noon on April 26th.

Alongside racing for a place in the Cheltenham final, riders have also been competing for an AGA Total Control cooker worth almost £10,000. As it stands, going into the last race at the home of jump racing, Claire Hart leads the field with 50 points, with reigning champion Jane Williams in second on 46 points and five others still in with a chance of being the ultimate winner.
