Metalsa is creating 150 full-time jobs at its Elizabethtown plant. The addition of the new position was accompanied by the launch of new businesses and products for the major local customers, Ford Motor Company and Rivian.

According to a press release, the light-duty and commercial vehicle chassis structure manufacturer is expanding its Elizabethtown plant to support new plans for its main and new strategic OEM customers in internal combustion, hybrid and battery electric vehicles for pickup trucks and sports utilities. All positions are permanent full-time vacancies for entry-level production technicians.

The statement stated that Metalsa is committed to training its employees and therefore does not require experience in the automotive industry. The company said that these jobs are accompanied by a complete salary and benefits package.

When you start at Metalsa, you provide yourself the opportunity to build your career, not just start a job,” said Linda Aubrey, human development at Metalsa in the release. “At Metalsa, our benefits and earnings opportunities allow employees to provide for and support their families. Additionally, the opportunities for advancement are endless – either into skilled trades through our apprenticeship or into management.”

On top of the 150 available production technician positions, Metalsa also recruits professional trade positions, including maintenance and tools. According to the news released, many salaried positions are available in operations, quality, engineering, etc.

Salary starts at $17 per hour and increases to $22.96 with regular increases and the cost of living in September each year. Employees in the second and third shifts receive an additional shift price difference.

Metalsa’s Elizabethtown factory opened in 1994 and has technology jobs in stamping, laminating, robotic welding and electrophoretic coating. Current products include chassis frames, sub-frames, stamping parts and repair parts.

We’re always excited for our customers to trust us with new business and even more excited when we can add jobs to provide opportunities to our community,” said Brett Barnes of Metalsa Elizabethtown leadership team.
