MP welcomes Cotswold District Council decision to back Brown Route proposal

Geoffrey Clifton-Brown, Member of Parliament for The Cotswolds, has welcomed Cotswold District Council’s unanimous support for the Brown Route proposal for the A417 Air Balloon Roundabout.

Commenting Mr Clifton-Brown said “Having met with the Secretary of State for Transport and promising that I would use my best endeavours to build a local consensus around one solution I am delighted that Cotswold District Council has unanimously decided to support the Brown route.”

In a letter to Mr Clifton-Brown the Secretary of State for Transport confirmed that he was sympathetic to Geoffrey Clifton-Brown’s concerns and has asked the Highways Agency to continue to work on finding a solution to the Air Balloon Roundabout.
