RNLI inland lifeboat day, Croft Farm Water Park, 24th May

The Cheltenham, Tewkesbury and Newent branches of the RNLI are holding an inland lifeboat day at Croft Farm Water Park, Bredon’s Hardwick near Tewkesbury on Sunday 24th May 2009.

Come and meet the Volunteer Lifeboat crews and Lifeguards who are based on the coast. Activities include:

  • Explore the ‘D’ class Inshore Lifeboat
  • Try on RNLI Kit – can you dress quickly in an emergency?
  • Meet the stars of ‘Seaside Rescue’ and find out how you can be ‘Beachwise’!
  • Enjoy the stalls and Lifeboat Lottery, and a guest appearance by ‘Stormy Stan’
  • Bring along your Lifejacket to be checked, and obtain other safety information
  • Refreshments will be available in the Croft Farm Water Park Cafe

Five new lawsuits have been brought against Amazon.com Inc. by women who worked in corporate or warehouse management roles. Saying that the company favored men over women in their career growth as well as allowing supervisors to denigrate them and retaliate after complaints were lodged.
