Veteran, Vintage and Classic Motorcycles at Chorleys in August

Chorley’s are pleased to announce their first specialist sale of Veteran, Vintage and Classic Motorcycles, Automobilia and Memorabilia which will take place on Saturday 21st August 2010.  Amongst the highlights is a BSA Road Rocket, 650cc twin, 1957, estimate £4,000-5,000 and a Royal Enfield Constellation, 700cc, 1962, estimate £3,500-4,500.

There is an increasing interest in Classic motorcycles and Chorley’s saleroom at Prinknash is the ideal venue to launch the first of what will be a bi-annual event.  With ample free parking, easy access and viewing areas, the motorcycles and automobilia offered for sale are anticipated to generate huge interest.  

Commenting on the forthcoming sale, Simon Chorley says, ‘From the enthusiasm shown to us by many in the biking world for this – our first wheely – we look forward to a Triumph and a Matchless sale!’

Six months before Covid 19 shut down building sites and locked down the UK the company Morris Leslie has already experienced tough times. Uncertainty because of Brexit had already caused building projects to be shut down or paused causing a much lower demand for plant hires and sales. This slowdown had caused an oversupply of construction equipment meaning more competition and so reduced prices. Then Covid 19 hit and the group’s vehicle auctions and Sunday car boot market were shut down.
