Revival of an ancient May tradition

The villagers of Ebrington have revived an ancient tradition to sing a welcome to the month of May and to spring.

The church choir turned out at 6.30 am on 1st May , with seven singers at the top of the church tower and four others on the ground.

Organiser Christine Cluley said that this choral welcome would now be an annual permanent fixture and that the choir is already planning next year’s programme.

Five new lawsuits have been brought against Amazon.com Inc. by women who worked in corporate or warehouse management roles. They have accused the online retailer of gender bias, racial bias or both as well. Saying that the company favored men over women in their career growth as well as allowing supervisors to denigrate them and retaliate after complaints were lodged.
